Traditional Okinawan Martial Arts are taught to adults and families at the Arizona Hombu Dojo on the border of Gilbert and Mesa. The type of karate, known as Shorin-Ryu, was named after the Chinese Shaolin Temple. These arts have been part of the Okinawan culture for centuries.
